Sector recognition programs

Ageing Australia is dedicated to elevating the proﬁle of the aged care, retirement living and seniors housing sectors.

Through a series of national recognition programs, we aim to strengthen the reputation of the sector, and celebrate excellence, within the community and broader aged care landscape.

Aged Care Employee Day, You are ACE! and the You are Ace! Awards

Aged Care Employee Day is celebrated annually on 7 August and is closely associated with members and the wider community. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge and thank aged care workers and leaders for their contributions.
The You are ACE! award and recognition program honours individuals, teams and organisations across aged care who go above and beyond in delivering exceptional care and support for older and ageing Australians.
Nominations received through You are ACE! are considered for the Ageing Australia You are ACE! Awards, which highlight the dedication and outstanding contributions of those working in aged care.
Collectively, these three initiatives – Aged Care Employee Day, You are ACE! and the Ageing Australia You are ACE! Awards – form a sector-wide effort to provide ongoing recognition, express appreciation and showcase best practice across aged care, retirement living and seniors housing.
