As providers prepare for the new Support at Home model, many are looking to AI to ease pressure on coordination, documentation and compliance. But without a clear pathway, adoption can be uncertain and risky.
This session introduces a sector-specific toolkit designed to guide aged care providers through the practical steps of AI integration. Built around a structured framework and five actionable tools, the session will walk you through use-case discovery, value and risk assessment, ethics review and prioritisation planning.
All participants will receive the full toolkit and printable templates to support internal planning, training and governance.
About the AI Adoption Workgroup:
The AI Adoption in Aged Care Workgroup is a national initiative, established to support responsible and effective integration of AI and technology across the aged care sector. The workgroup brings together AI specialists, aged care providers, and policy stakeholders to co-design practical tools and resources, and policy guidance. Members of the national AI in Aged Care Workgroup include Adelaide Hills Council, Ageing Australia, Bayside City Council, Blue Sky Community Services, Catalyst Foundation, City of Onkaparinga, City of Salisbury, City of Victor Harbor, COASIT (SA), COTA QLD, Ku-ring-gai Council, Macarthur Disability Services, Moonee Valley City Council, Multicultural Communities Council of SA, Rural City of Murray Bridge, and Volunteering SA/NT.

Who is facilitating?
George Gouzounis
This session will be presented by George Gouzounis, Aged Care Sector Support Coordinator at the Multicultural Communities Council of SA and co-author of the Integrating AI into Support at Home toolkit. George specialises in innovation, positive ageing, and culturally responsive practice, with a strong focus on emerging technologies in aged care. He chairs the national AI in Aged Care Workgroup and publishes AgeFriendly.AI, a newsletter on AI and ageing.
The toolkit was co-authored with Marina Ritchie, business consultant and AI Adoption Partner and business consultant with deep experience in guiding teams through strategic technology integration, and Dr Aprille Chua, leader of the ‘Design for Health and Wellbeing’ research track at LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore (UAS), promoting human-centred systems design.
